Geoff Krieg - Principal Payments Consultant

Geoff has over 20 years experience in the payments sector, with a multi-disciplinary background in processor and gateway operations.  He provides clients the insight of a payments veteran and the problem-solving skills of a successful entrepreneur.

Before founding PayMundi, Geoff launched his consulting practice working for a European payment service provider, directing the development of their gateway and strategies for new payment method acceptance.  Earlier, he was the Director of Service Delivery at Merchant Link, a major payment gateway, technical support and data security provider that processes over one billion transactions per year and connects to virtually every US payment processor.

A pioneer in working with Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), Geoff began his career with the Bank of Boulder, as Division Officer responsible for growing the bank's ISO program.  While at the Bank of Boulder, he assisted the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in establishing guidelines for reviewing the underwriting policies and procedures of merchant acquiring banks.  Geoff also worked with the Risk division of Visa International during the early days of the Risk Identification Service (RIS).

In 1995, Geoff joined four members of the Bank of Boulder's executive team in launching ACS Merchant Services as VP of Operations.  Renamed TransFirst in 2000, the company today is one of the top acquirers in the United States.
